Mamandur Cave Temple - A place hidden from tourist
Mamandur is a small village in Tiruvanamalai district.It's about 10 km from kanchipuram.We started from kanchipuram.For us it was 20 min journey.With help of google maps we reached near pachaiamman temple.From there we took help of local village people,to find the place .There are totally 4 rock cut temple.Two rock cut temple will be on ground level.Remaining two rock cut temple were on top of that small hill,It will be having nearly 30 steps.

Additionally one siva and one kaalabairavar temple was there,that was also on top of small hill.

If you look from back side of siva temple,that is back side cave temple you will able to see magnificent view of chitra mega thadaka aka Dusi-mamandur water area.

You can find above place while you walking towards cave temple,when I climbed up steps ,I am able to find writings that " place where sages lived" in Tamil,I am not sure whether sages lived there, because there is no proof for that.

Mamandur cave temples were under the control of ASI(Archeological survey of India). But there is zero maintenance .If you are a peace lover,want to have small hiking experience you can try out this.Please make sure you will take food and beverages with you while going because there is no shop near this area.Its a good place to take lot of photos.As sun started to set,I have ended my journey with small photo shoot and lot of memories :).
